The 1st Week in SLIIT Academy  

November 22 - 26, 2021

             Our first lecture was Essential Communication Skills and the lecturer was Ms.Ishara Raviharee. There we learnt how to introduce myself  and get to know about another person. Then we learned about creating a blog. Ms.Ishara told us to continue the blogging by uploading our lecture activities.😊

             The second day of our lecture we had Programming Concepts lecture in the morning.Our lecturer was Ms. Ovini Seneviratne. We learned about what is a computer program , an algorithm and a pseudocode. After that six basic operations and the operators used in pseudocodes were learned. 

             The evening lecture was about Mathematics for Computing. And the lecturer was Ms.Nideshika Ellepola. From that lecture we learned importance of mathematics in CS and types of mathematics used in CS. And also the number systems that used.

              The third day of lectures there was Windows Application Development C# . Mr. Anuruddha Abeysinghe was our lecturer. There we learned main formats of Applications and what is Windows Application.Then we set up Visual Studio Software.

               The next lecture in the same day there was  Database Design Concepts lecture . Our DDC lecturer was Ms.Ruchira ManikkaArachchi. She taught us about Databases and Explained about SQL. And also we learned SQL commands and how to use it in SQL Server.

So this is what I've learnt by the first week.
